April 2020

RIDE FOR MAJOR TAYLOR

Date: April 05, 2020

Time: 8am - 4pm

Location: White Center Bicycle Playground

Cost: $125 for adults, $40 for youth

The Major Taylor Project is a year-round, youth development cycling program focused on introducing youth from diverse communities to the recreation of cycling and creating an inclusive culture of bicycling that will continue to future generations. The Major Taylor Project currently serves 17 schools in Puget Sound region; ten schools in Seattle, six schools in Tacoma, and one school in Puyallup.

EMERALD CITY RIDE

Date: April 19, 2020

Time: 7am - 4pm

Location: Husky Stadium, south lot, E12

Cost: $75

The Cascade Bicycle Club invites you to their Emerald City Ride which raises funds that allows them to to make Washington a better place for people riding bikes. Check out some of the programs like Let's Go, the Major Taylor Project, or the statewide advocacy.

The Cascade Bicycle Clubs events are made possible with support from the local communities through which we ride.

May 2020

SEATTLE BIKE-N-BREWS

Date: May 3, 2020

Time: 9am - 3:30pm

Location: Georgetown Brewing Company

Cost: $70

The Seattle Bike-n-Brews is an urban ride for those who appreciate city riding and quality Pacific Northwest microbrews. Pedal along the Duwamish and Green River Trails from Georgetown to Tukwila, taking in city views along the way, and return to the finish line party for cold brews and food. The 27 or 37-mile route is an easy-going, mostly flat ride using protected trails and city streets. Registration includes lunch at the finish line festival, along with a beer ticket for the mid-point and finish line. 

This fundraising ride is organized and created by the Cascade Bicycle Club and help to fund their initiatives such as Free Group Ridesthe Major Taylor Project or their statewide advocacy. (PC: Cynthia Mullis)

FLYING WHEELS 2020

Date: May 30, 2020

Time: 6am - 4pm

Location: Marymoor Park east-end parking lot

Cost: $70

Join the Cascade Bicycle Club for another fabulous event to help benefit their causes. 

The ride weaves its way through Western Washington’s Snoqualmie Valley. This fertile valley is home to many organic farms producing some of the area’s highest quality produce, meats, and cheeses. You will spend your day rolling from the valley floor to the ridges that define this beautiful place, a peaceful getaway not far from the city. The route includes beautiful rural riding, scenic views, well-stocked rest stops and plenty of climbing to get you in shape for the rest of your summer riding season. 

The ride ends with a Finish Line Festival in King County's Marymoor Park featuring bike-themed exhibitors and a deliciously refreshing beer garden.

SEATTLE BIKE SWAP

The Seattle Bike Swap is the bike community at its best. Neighbors helping neighbors buy and sell a trove of bicycle treasures, new and old. Find a great selection of bikes and bike-related goods of all types and sizes. Spend the day scouting out the perfect addition to your collection – or learning about options if you're new to bicycling. This huge sale is one day only, so don't miss out!

What's for sale? Everything from new bikes and gear, to classics straight from personal collections.  We have both established bike shops and independent sellers present. All proceeds go to the Major Taylor Project.


EVERGREEN MTB FESTIVAL

Date: June 13 - June 14, 2020

Time: 06/13: 9am - 5pm, 06/14: 10am - 3pm

Location: Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park

Cost: $20 for members, $40 for non-members

Join the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance for their annual celebration of King County's premier bike park, built and maintained by Evergreen!

Ride all the latest bikes from the biggest and best brands, visit with the manufacturers and ride all the trails. Events for the whole family are scheduled both days!

SUMMER SOLSTICE TEAM ENDURO

This race is all about fun in the sun with your favorite riding friends for some good-natured competition and celebration to ring in summer. If you're looking for more competitive racing, check out our signature race series, the Cascadia Dirt Cup, or for ultra-challenging and competitive, we hope you'll join us in Idaho for the 5th Annual North American Enduro Cup! Registration opens on March 1, 2020 at noon! Get after it!


SEATTLE NIGHT RIDE

Date: June 26, 2020

Time: 9pm - 10pm

Location: Peddler Brewing Company

Cost: $35- $60

City lights, summer nights, and glowing bikes at the Seattle Night Ride! Back for the 6th year, the Seattle Night Ride is a fun and unique urban cycling event for anyone who enjoys a summer night bike cruise. The 13-mile route is a mostly flat, easy going ride through Seattle, utilizing city streets, protected trails and bike lanes. The ride begins & ends in Ballard at Peddler Brewing Company, and meanders through the neighborhoods of Fremont, Lake Union, and Queen Anne. We highly encourage costumes and bike light accessories (that are safe for riding)!

STURDY DIRTY ENDURO 2020

Date: July 11, 2020

Location: Raging River State Forest

Cost: $95.00

Join the Sturdy Bitch Racing team for their annual women-only enduro mountain bike race. This fundraiser aims to raise money for the Breast Cancer Fund. Racers can expect a serious race in a festive environment. Costumed volunteers, themed aid stations (e.g. Mexican cantina, limbo station, etc.) and indulgences like bacon and waffle s’mores add to the fun. THE SEATTLE TO PORTLAND (STP)

Date: July 18 - 19, 2020

Time: 7am - 4pm

Location: Start Line

Cost: $140 - $160

This 206-mile iconic bicycle ride is the largest multi-day bicycle event in the Pacific Northwest with up to 8,000 participants riding from Seattle to Portland in one or two days every year! You will roll out of Seattle with the sun rising over Lake Washington, and along the way you will enjoy open views of Mount Rainier and Mount Saint Helens. You will also cruise through the scenic valleys, forests, and farmlands of western Washington and Oregon. Come ride what Bicycling Magazine has listed as one of the best cycling events in the nation! RIDE FROM SEATTLE TO VANCOUVER & PARTY (RSVP)

Location: Start Line

Cost: $160 - $180

Join our friends at the On RSVP you will pedal on some of the most beautiful roads and trails western Washington has to offer. You will enjoy epic views of the Cascade mountain range, Skagit Valley farmlands, and the Salish Sea via the famous Chuckanut Drive Scenic Byway. The ride also includes a quick international border crossing with our own lane dedicated to the event! The two-day ride concludes with riding through British Columbia, Canada and connecting with its many greenways, bike lanes and award-winning bike infrastructure on your way into downtown Vancouver, BC. This is one flagship Cascade Bicycle Club ride you do not want to miss!
